As a graduate from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Dr. Xie has always continued to pursue education in post-graduate studies in oral surgery, periodontics, implantology, restorative, and sedative dentistry. Dr. Xie places a high emphasis on individual patient care. She believes in treating not only the teeth, but the person as a whole. This philosophy is further demonstrated in her leadership in community health with new mothers to be, homeless youth club, and long term terminal illness patients. Dr. Xie sees her enrollment as a privilege to contribute to others and make a difference in people’s lives.

Dr. Law graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). He then moved back to his hometown of Edmonton where he has experience working both in private practice and at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton. Dr. Law joined the team at Callingwood Dental Health Centre and Suites in 2016 and his goal is to provide informative and quality patient care. Outside of work, Dr. Law enjoys playing soccer, skiing and spending time with his family and friends.
As our front desk and level II registered dental assistant (RDA), Bailey is ready to greet you with a smile and assist you with your appointment needs. A graduate of George Brown College’s dental assisting program, she has been working in the dental field since 2010 and is familiar with pedodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, implants, and general dentistry. As part of our dental administration, Bailey can assist in insurance claims and treatment coordinating, and is a member of CADA. In her spare time, Bailey loves to travel, hike, take motorcycle trips, and get outside with her dog. She is originally from Niagara on the lake, but moved to Edmonton in 2012.
Sokhom has 5 years’ experience at working at an endodontist’s office. Her hobbies include photography, cooking and camping. Sokhom will be the first face you see when coming in, and she will always greet you with a smile!
Alannah graduated from CDI College as a medical office assistant and has been working in the dental field since 2014. As a receptionist at Callingwood Dental Health Centre and Suites, she enjoys being able to give each customer a friendly welcome upon arriving for their appointment. In her spare time, Alannah enjoys playing soccer, reading, and travelling, and is also learning how to play the piano.
Our hygienists are members of the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta (CRDHA) and the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association (CDHA). They maintain yearly practice permits through regular continuing education courses and programs.
Brandy takes pride in making patients feel as comfortable as she can. She values building relationships with patients to provide personalized care, and has been working alongside Dr. Xie since 2003. She is a 2004 graduate of University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science specialization and Diploma of Dental Hygiene. Certified to administer local anaesthesia, she is a member of the CRDHA and CDHA. Brandy enjoys yoga, horseback riding, travelling the world, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
Linda graduated from the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene Inc. in 2010. She became a member of Dr. Xie’s team at Callingwood Dental Health Centre and Suites in 2011. She also belongs to CDHA. For patients who require comfort during hygiene appointments, she is certified in administering local anaesthesia. Fluent in Cantonese, she seeks to help patients optimize their oral health. When she is not in the office, she enjoys a variety of crafts and travel.
Erin graduated from Camosun College's Dental Hygiene program in 2008. She worked for five years in a periodontist's office, before moving to Edmonton and joining Callingwood Dental Health Centre. She values her patient's comfort as well as their oral health, and is certified to provide local anesthesia. Her hobbies include baking, reading, and board games.
In order to make you comfortable and to facilitate your dental treatment in a timely manner, we also employ well-trained dental assistants. They bring a lot of experience and a great positive attitude.
Head Dental Assistant
Elena is a 2009 graduate of the Dental Assisting program at KDM Dental College. An RDA II and CADA member, she joined Dr. Xie’s team in 2009 and is her head dental assistant. Elena has continued to learn alongside Dr. Xie, with experience in periodontics, oral surgery, sedation and implants. In her spare time, Elena enjoys cheering on her son’s hockey teams, long walks with the dog and reading. One interesting fact about Elena is that she has lived in three different countries and learned a new language each time. She is fluent in Russian.
Shan graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at NAIT in 2009 and joined the Callingwood team in 2017. She is very passionate about oral health and enjoys spreading dental awareness. She has experience with implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, surgery and IV sedation. She also speaks Cantonese. Shan loves to cook and is quite the foodie. In her spare time, Shan balances her love for knitting with weight lifting and the more than occasional burger.
Registered Dental Assistant
Jocelyn joined our practice in August of 2017, she graduated from Vancouver Community College with a degree in Dental Assisting. She moved to Edmonton last year and attended continuing education to maintain her licence in both British Columbia and Alberta. She has experience in pediatric dentistry, periodontics and prosthodontics. She enjoys listening to music, going for walks and loves to hike.
Gretchen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Central Luzon Doctor's Hospital Education Institution in the Philippines. She is planning on going to school here in Canada to further her education. She is our current sterilization assistant and is a great asset to our team. She loves spending time with her family, watching Filipino movies and traveling.
Yiying is an enthusiastic student heading into her final year of high school. She is currently attending Old Scona Academic high school and is hoping to advance into the dentistry field after completing her undergraduate studies. Her passion towards dentistry brought her here to Callingwood Dental Health Centre and Suites, in which she is working part time as a dental assistant. She is an excellent communicator and is also fluent in Mandarin. In Yiying’s spare time she enjoys playing volleyball, volunteering, reading and spending time with loved ones.
